"Three Women in the Woods: Words and Images" opens at Gallery in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park
"Three Women in the Woods: Words and Images" is an exhibit of fine art, photography and poetry reflecting nature and created by three Ohio women. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association invites the public to an opening reception on Friday, October 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John F. Seiberling Gallery in The Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The reception and exhibit is in the art gallery of the Hines Hill Administration Building, 1403 West Hines Hills Road, Peninsula. Regular gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and by appointment. The free exhibit runs through Sunday, Dec. 12.
The exhibit is a collaboration between fine artist Barbara Krans Jenkins, photographer Jane Rogers, both of Akron, and poet Jill Sell of Sagamore Hills. The three have joined together to help raise the awareness of the need to preserve and conserve the beautiful and endangered Ohio woodlands. It is also their hope that the exhibit inspires others to creatively express their own appreciation for the state’s natural areas.
