Cavaliers Plan NBA Green Week April 2-10

Cavs logoThe Cleveland Cavaliers will participate in the NBA’s first “Green Week” April 2-10 to highlight the league’s increasing involvement in environmental initiatives. Although being environmentally responsible is something that the Cleveland Cavaliers organization has taken seriously for some time, the Cavs are ready to show their eco-colors—Wine & Gold Make Green.
The Cavaliers will have two home games during Green Week on April 5 against the San Antonio Spurs at 1 p.m. and April 8 against the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m. At each game fans can learn about eco-friendly activities. Many environmental agencies will be on the Quicken Loans Arena concourse providing fans with information and demonstrations on what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint.
In addition, Cavaliers players will wear green eco-friendly shooting shirts designed by Adidas, and the theme for both games will focus on educating fans on what green initiatives the Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena are taking to make a positive difference in the environment.
