Change to Green Helps Homeowners Save Money & Environment

Change to Green is a Cleveland-based consultation company that assesses homes and provides homeowners ways to make their home “green” which ultimately will save them money and help protect the environment. Marc Davila, founder of Change to Green, says that if 20 percent of the homes in Cuyahoga County became energy efficient it would save more than two billion pounds of carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere each year and $322,500 would be saved in electricity expenses.

Change to Green, a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, offers its customers green recommendations that reduces utility costs, air pollution, fossil fuel use and carbon dioxide emissions, and creates a healthier home. Change to Green focuses on the following key areas during a consultation: renewable energy options, energy efficiency, green supplies, green suppliers, indoor air quality, insulation, home sealing, water efficiency, occupant awareness, irrigation techniques, landscape recommendations and how to conserve resources.

“My company’s goal is to create a sustainable society that benefits the people of today and tomorrow,” he said. “We want people to go green now and forever. The essence of the business is to educate homeowners to understand how to make their homes friendly toward the environment, and how to make green more than a color but a lifestyle.”
