Does Your Workplace Include Earth Share of Ohio in Its Payroll Gifting Program?
When someone asks me “So what is Earth Share of Ohio (ESO)?, I usually respond with my own question, “Where do you work?” Then I ask if the company they work for has an annual payroll gifting program, and if so, do they have the option of gifting a donation to conservation and environmental charities through payroll dedication at their workplace?
I ask because ESO is part of a nationwide network of America’s leading non-profit environmental and conservation organizations, working to promote environmental education and charitable giving through workplace giving campaigns. ESO is an opportunity, a system, and an answer for environmentally conscious employees and workplaces to support dozens of environmental groups through a charitable giving drive.
ESO’s beneficiaries work hard every day to safeguard your health and the environment. Our represented organizations are combating global warming and preserving undeveloped land. They’re guarding groundwater from toxic contaminants and promoting renewable energy. Our goal is to continue expanding opportunities for working people to have an easy and effective way to help the environment, and in doing so, help ensure the preservation of our natural heritage.
ESO raises funds for and awareness of conservation and environmental charity organizations by partnering with Ohio employers who have included ESO as an option in their gifting program. Employees who have the option to support ESO charities at their place of work usually donate $1, $2 or $5 per pay to benefit ESO’s member charities. When their $26, $52 or $130 per year gift is combined with their co-workers’ donations and the gifts from other workplaces, it adds up to very generous gifts to ESO’s member charities.
Earth Share of Ohio’s beneficiary organizations are some of the most respected and responsible environmental and conservation nonprofits in the country. If your employer does not include Earth Share of Ohio as a charity choice, voice your interest to your Human Resource Department and call the Earth Share of Ohio office at 614-263-6367 so we can become a part of your company’s annual payroll gifting program. If your company has Earth Share of Ohio included in the payroll deduction gifting program, consider a donation to Earth Share of Ohio or one of our member charities.
