Ohio’s Energy Bill Update—Make Your Voice Heard Today

Ohio House Speaker Jon Husted on Feb. 21 announced new and improved standards for renewable energy and energy efficiency for Ohio. The clean energy standards will help to jumpstart the renewable energy industry in Ohio as well as foster the development of a cleaner energy future. The improvements, detailed in House Bill 487, were supported by Ohio environmental advocates and Ohio-based renewable energy manufacturers and business leaders.

Gov. Ted Strickland and Senate President Bill Harris previously helped move renewable energy forward with their proposals. Now is the time for all three leaders to work together and deliver clean energy for Ohio.

Call your Ohio leaders today and urge them to work together for a clean energy future with a strong renewable energy standard that includes the need for benchmarks, enforcement and penalties for non-compliance. Call Strickland at 614-644-4357, Husted at 614-644-6008 and Harris at 614-466-8086.
